COMPANY HISTORY

• 1946. Founded in 1946 by Ronald V. Cloud, “Cloud Supply Company” was built in Fresno which sold plumbing, electrical, appliances, heating and cooling supplies. The annual gross sales for the time was $30,000. 
 
• 1952. The company changed the name and built the first location of the “Fresno Distributing Company.” 

• 1962. Ronald Cloud built “R.V. Cloud Company” in the Campbell/San Jose area. Nearly taking up an entire ten acre parcel, Cloud Company services the entire silicon valley up to San Francisco and Sacramento.

• 1993. Ronald V. Cloud passes away unexpectedly.

• 2005. Fresno Distributing Company reaches $30 million in annual gross sales. Only one other privately owned wholesaler in the nation has achieved higher.

• According to wholesale magazine(2007), the company has grown to be the second largest privately owned wholesaler in the nation!
