Charman 1-1/4" red brass nipple. A short threaded section of red brass pipe that makes a strong, corrosion-resistant connection where two threaded components meet close together. Stocked at Fresno Distributing in Fresno for same-day will-call pickup at the counter.
Common applications
- Connecting water heaters to flex lines and unions
- Extending valves and hose bibbs out from a wall
- Gas and water fixture rough-ins where steel would corrode
Counter tip: Red brass resists dezincification better than yellow brass on potable water. Use pipe dope or PTFE tape on the threads.
