Fresno Distributing (“Fresno D”, “we”, “us”) operates the store at 2055 E McKinley Ave, Fresno, CA and this website. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. Browsing the catalog does not require an account or any personal information.
What we collect
- Contact and account information: your name, company (optional), mobile phone number, and address when you sign in or place a will-call order. Contractor license number and type are optional and only stored if you choose to provide them.
- Order information: the items, quantities, and prices on will-call orders you submit, kept in our order management system.
- Sign-in verification: when you sign in, a one-time code is texted to your phone through our verification provider (Twilio). We never see or store a password because there is none.
- Usage data: standard analytics (pages visited, general location, device type) via Google Analytics, and a session cookie that keeps you signed in.
How we use it
- To prepare and fulfill your will-call orders and contact you about them (by phone call or text message).
- To verify your identity at sign-in and show your account pricing.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not run third-party advertising on this site.
Text messaging (SMS) program
- By providing your mobile number at sign-in or on a will-call order, you consent to receive transactional text messages from Fresno D: one-time sign-in codes and updates about your orders (for example, that your order is ready for pickup).
- Message frequency varies with your order activity. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. You can also call the counter at (559) 442-8800.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except our messaging service provider solely to deliver the messages described above.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Who we share information with
Only service providers that make the site work, and only what they need to do their job: Twilio (delivers sign-in codes and order texts), Google Analytics (site usage statistics), and our order and inventory system (stores customer and order records). Each is bound to use the information only to provide its service. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies
We use one session cookie to keep you signed in (it contains no password and expires after 30 days) and Google Analytics cookies for anonymous usage statistics. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; the catalog remains fully browsable without them.
Retention and security
Order records are kept as required for business and tax purposes. Sign-in cookies are cryptographically signed, marked HTTP-only, and cannot be read by scripts. Access to customer records is limited to staff who need it to serve you.
Your choices and California privacy rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we must keep by law). California residents may exercise these rights under the CCPA without discrimination. Call (559) 442-8800, use the contact page, or ask at the counter. We respond within the time required by law.
Children
This site serves the building trades and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes and contact
